Another new track but with the reputation that marshfield has you know its going to be good, and it certainly was that.
With another uphill start to master this time using elastic, so the tips i learnt on the "Holeshot day" were put to good use.
Practice went ok with most people in the same boat having to learn this new track in a short 3 lap session.
Race one:
Great ( but not perfect) start 7th or 8th around the 1st corner, Trying to push hard for the first couple of laps, there were some quick people out there doing the same, stayed in 8th for several laps, Felt real good for most of that race, ended up 10th @ the chequered flag.
Race Two:
Another great start 8th around that busy 1st corner, By now you know the track, or so i thought making the mistake of not checking the track out inbetween moto's. Pushing to make some place's i lost the front end and down i went. Managed to keep the bike running re-mounted and crossed the line with a twisted knee (old Injury) in 18th.
Race Three:
With a heavily strapped knee. went down to the line for another chance to prove to myself that i can get better start's.
although i didnt improve on any earlier start i got round after running over a couple of fallen bikes in 8th. battled with a mate for a good few laps then hit a wall pumped up real bad and ended up 11th.
Next Meeting:
Round 3 British Master's @ Pontrilas
