The Nigel Revel Trophey-Dorset Classic 7th June

Having seen the sign posted on the A354 earlier in the week I decieded to venture down to check out a 'Classic Scramble' taking me back to my early motocross yearswhen tracks were natural, grassy and only the odd sharp rise that amounted to a jump unlike my re-birth back into motocross a few years back after 15 odd years out.

To my delight I looked through the programme to see the familar name of the former 1979 world champion and drinking legend, Graham 'Rolls' Noyce.... I was really looking forward to seeing this icon of British motocross riding in front of my lens... alas it didnt happen, or at least I dont think it did, I did see him in the pits along with his personal plate of GN4 which I though was pretty cool.

Still the racing was fantasticly close with some real hungry riders viaing for top honours... Howard Stanfield looked to be the man to beat and nobody did.. really made me want to nick someones bike amd kit and get out there and give him a run for his money..

Got quite a few shots of which I was a little dubious about how they would turn out with the absence of much airbourne action, but I hope you'll agree they didnt turn out to bad.. Hopefully you'll enjoy as much as I did taking them.

Being colour blind didnt help when he got dressed...

Setting was very picturesque...

It went to the wire, with Marshall taking victory...

Good to see some of the 'Classic' boys signed up...

some good pictures there, i prefer those to those with a bike flying through the air, they all look the same to me

Theres a reason for doing them in b/w.... I need to earn pennies to race the colour full res images are supberb..

BTW guys I took approx 500 photos Sunday, so if your not shown let me know what you were riding, no etc and i'll try to find you...
